Remaining consistent with the North Pacific Yachts legacy, The NP450 is finished to world class standards. Each boat is hand made by a team of well-trained craftsman, who have acquired joinery skills through years of training and generations of knowledge. The quality is easily seen and felt when you open a drawer built with dovetailed joinery and soft-close hardware, or when you open one of the cedar lined hanging lockers with built in LED lighting.
The interior of the NP450 is covered with horizontal grain teak and ultraleather wall panels which gives the boat a more modern feel. Wenge accents and trim contrast the teak and create modern lines. Other features differentiate the NP450 from the traditional NP45, such as Ultraleather wrapped stainless steel handrails, durable engineered white oak flooring, lacquered cabinet doors in select areas, and more modern hardware throughout. Multiple layers of lighting, large windows, and high ceilings create a bright and open feel.
Salon
The large full beam salon rivals that of many boats in the 50-55’ range. Adding to the feeling of spaciousness is a custom-made stainless steel and glass sliding salon door aft. This upgraded door allows for great views aft from the salon and the galley. A retractable screen door keeps insects out. The expanded windows on the port and starboard side continue the panoramic views. The salon layout is customizable, but the most popular layouts include two residential style recliners on the starboard side, facing an L-shape settee/ dinette with a high/low table that doubles as a coffee table. Also to port is a TV on an electric pop-up lift.
Galley
The U-shape galley in the NP450 is easy to work in. The abundant countertop space is well lit and there is plenty of storage. The galley is well equipped with quality Bosch appliances, a large single or double basin sink, and premium quality countertops. The window behind the sink provides tons of natural light and great views while working. The lacquer finished upper cabinet doors contribute to the bright and airy feel. Your choice of electric/ induction or gas cooktop is located on the aft side of the galley so that you are not excluded from the salon while preparing a meal.
Forward Accommodations
You can access the staterooms and head(s) directly from the salon, with no need to go up to the pilothouse to get below deck.
Master Stateroom
The master stateroom is spacious and easy to move around in. Thanks to the plumb bow, the bed is positioned very far forward, allowing full use of the entire waterline length of the hull. This hull design also allows for massive amounts of headroom. Access to the front of the bed is just one step up, which makes bed-making an easy task. On each side of the bed, you’ll find a side table finished with premium countertops or teak, a reading light, and a power outlet. The bed platform is hinged in the front and lifts with the assist of gas struts for access to systems and storage. Cedar lined hanging lockers, several drawers, and storage lockers with lacquered doors are invaluable for extended stays and longer cruises. Two large hull windows with opening portholes and an overhead opening hatch provide natural light and great views below deck. The NP450 can be built with an ensuite head or additional storage space with built in dresser.
One of the primary concerns with a forward stateroom is “chine slap”. This was addressed and completely eliminated in all but the worst conditions by raising the spray chine high above the water line.
Guest Stateroom
Several different layout options are available in the guest stateroom, including a single bed, bunks, an office, or a custom configuration. A large hull window with opening porthole continues the light and bright theme of the boat. Your guests will enjoy a well-lit cedar lined hanging locker and plenty of drawers and cabinets. They may never want to leave!
Linen Closet
At the forward end of the hallway on the starboard side, there is a linen closet with lots of useable storage. This space can also be used to install an optional vented washer/dryer, a stacked washer and dryer, or an additional freezer.
Head
The fine finishes found throughout the NP450 carry into the head with teak walls and cabinetry, white oak engineered flooring, and solid surface countertops. A mosaic backsplash was added behind the sink/ faucet- a luxurious touch. The separate shower stall is upgraded with Meganite and mosaic walls, a Meganite floor, and a teak or meganite seat. Access to the shower is through a frosted glass door. The shower has an opening porthole as well as an exhaust fan and drains to a reliable, Whale gray water diaphragm pump. A second head without a shower can be added to the master stateroom.
Pilothouse
The pilothouse has also been upgraded with modern touches, but retains the functional layout and great visibility of the traditional NP45. Aft of the Llebroc helm seat is a settee with seating for several guests. A teak table can be folded down from the port wall making this a great place to set up a laptop or to enjoy a meal while underway. The bench seat can quickly and easily turn into a full bed, or creates a L settee for a more comfortable place to sit during long passages. The large helm console provides space for the various electronics and screens. Doors on each side of the pilothouse provide quick access to the side decks and provide great visibility while maneuvering.
