World-Class Finishing; Inviting and Comfortable
North Pacific interiors are finished to world-class standards with fine materials and finishes. We’ve hired experts and have spent years training our staff in the techniques that we use to attain the level of finish that we and our customers expect. Hand-crafted teak paneled walls, dovetailed drawers, book matched cabinetry, and real teak and holly floors are standard throughout. Drawers and cabinets are flush instead of having heavy teak trim and we use lighter materials in select areas to brighten the feel. In addition to this, headroom and window size is maximized throughout. Routed and bent laminated (no miter joints) trim add an extra touch of luxury.
Adding to the level of comfort, the settees are made to similar dimensions as comfortable home furniture. The interior of the North Pacific 45′ is well lit with Imtra LED lights and LED accent lighting throughout. The combination of good light layering on teak, high ceilings and large windows gives North Pacific interiors a warm feel in any weather, allowing you to feel right at home on the water.
Salon
We believe in large interior living spaces and the NP45 does not disappoint. The salon is full beam, while still allowing for easy access around the exterior with a full “raised walk around” (see exterior section for more details). The salon is as large as many substantially longer vessels, allowing us to create a living room effect. Carefully-placed lighting gives the teak a warm glow. Large windows surround the space, allowing in lots of light and providing a nice panoramic view.
The salon is customizable and we have many different layouts to choose from. The most popular layout features a small cabinet on the starboard side, with space for two comfortable recliners. The recliners face an H-shaped dinette or an L-shaped settee/dinette. Either option has plenty of storage and converts into a double bed. A 40" pop-up TV, outboard on the port side, is perfect for viewing from the recliners. Many other options are available and we can also create a custom design to meet your lifestyle.
Galley
Cooks will love that the galley is in the salon so that as they work, they will not feel isolated. A large and well-lit countertop makes an excellent work surface. The galley comes standard with a large (30-33″), dual stainless steel sink, making clean up easy. A Force 10 three-burner cooktop and oven is standard equipment and can be ordered with electric or gas burners. There are seven drawers, one large cabinet with two adjustable shelves, another large cabinet under the sink and a small cabinet above the stove for storing spices. One of the most impressive galley features is the fridge/freezer; a household stainless steel Summit, with 11.35 cu.ft of space.
Forward Accommodations
You can access the staterooms and head(s) directly from the salon, with no need to go up to the pilothouse to get below decks.
Master Stateroom
The plumb bow design creates a very spacious master stateroom with a remarkable amount of headroom. With only one step on each side of the walk around queen, bed-making is a breeze. Teak slats next to the 4 opening portholes give a rich feel to the stateroom. Backlit, frosted glass cabinetry; a white headboard and mirror lighten up the stateroom and add to the feeling of spaciousness. On the aft port side of the stateroom, there are several drawers, a desk and a mirror. This is the space that is used for the optional second head. Even with the two-head design, there are nine drawers, six cabinets and two hanging lockers, providing plenty of storage space. Additional storage can be found beneath the mattress, easily accessed with the aid of gas struts. Many people worry about “chine slap” in a forward stateroom but we have addressed this concern. By raising the spray chine on the bow to over two feet above the waterline, we have eliminated chine slap in all but the worst conditions. Two reading lights, conveniently placed light switches, solid surface side tables, and four book shelves at the head of the bed add to the livability of the NP45.
Guest Stateroom
On the port side is a spacious guest stateroom with a 48"-wide bed. Other layouts are available in this room, including bunks or a combination office with bunks. Various storage options are available, and the number of drawers, cabinets and hanging lockers depend on the layout chosen.
Linen Closet
At the forward end of the hallway on the starboard side, there is a linen closet with lots of useable storage. This space can also be used to install an optional vented washer/dryer or stacked washer and dryer.
Head
The head is richly finished with teak, and teak and holly floors. Your choice of solid surface counter is standard, and there is a choice between an undermount or raised ceramic or glass sink. The standard toilet is the comfortable and reliable Tecma Silence Plus. The large, adjoining, separate shower stall, is molded fiberglass and has a frosted glass door with an NPY logo inscribed into it. A tile mosaic on the wall finishes the space nicely. The shower has an opening porthole as well as an exhaust fan and drains to a reliable, Whale gray water diaphragm pump.
Pilothouse
The pilothouse has excellent forward visibility for both the helmsman and crew. Standing to the starboard side of the helm, you can easily see the aft end of the swim platform. With two opening doors and an aft window, you will feel confident piloting the NP45 from the pilothouse in any situation. A fully adjustable Llebroc helm seat is centered in the pilothouse, making long cruises comfortable. The raised dash has plenty of space for all needed instrumentation and is customizable. Aft of the pilothouse helm seat is a raised bench seat and table. The bench seat quickly and easily pulls out into a bed, but also extends into an L, providing a very comfortable area for crew with good visibility. Access to the staterooms, head, and galley do not require passing through the pilothouse, allowing this area to serve as an excellent third stateroom.
